Bhubaneswar, December 9 (Odisha.in) Orissa chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday said he has still not decided whether to join the rally or not the NDA has planned in New Delhi after the current parliament session is over.
The National Democratic Alliance led by Bharatiya Janata Party has recently announced its plan to hold a massive rally at New Delhi against corruption along with other NDA partners after the winter session of the parliament is over.
It had also said similar rallies will also be held in various state capitals later and leaders of other like minded parties have been invited to join them.
NDA convenor Sharad Yadav earlier this week said he was in touch with friendly opposition parties including the BJD and invited their leaders requesting them to join the rally.
“Sharad Yadav did telephoned me but we have taken no decision on the matter yet” Patnaik told reporters at state capital Bhubaneswar.
The BJD led by chief minister Naveen Patnaik said in the past it will not support the United Progressive Alliance led by Congress or National Democratic Alliance led by Bharatiya Janata Party.
The BJD has however been seen supporting a so called opposition block led by left parties after it broke away from the 11-year-old alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Pary (BJP), in March this year over seat-sharing arrangements in Orissa.
