Dear Sir,

I am Satya Bijaya Dash, working as a software professional at Hyderabad. Earlier also i have sent an email to odisha.com and it was published.

My father got retired from Government service in Jun 2007. He was retired as a Commandant of India reserve battalion from Koraput. After retirement he has to get his retirement benefits which include GPF, Commutation, DCRC and other benefits.

Any how after struggling for 3 months he is able to get the GPF amount from Koraput treasury after the officials from the Director of treasuries interfere in this matter.

Now he has to get other retirement benefits from the Accountant General office Bhubaneswar. It has been 4 months he got retired. But still he is not able to get the benefits.

Upon contacting the Accountant General office they have told it will take 15 days more to get the money. They have told this one month back. As this didn't work out my father met the DAG (SB Behera).

He has called the dealing assistant and other staffs to know about this issue. The staffs assured the DAG that it will take 15 days. Then my father came back and waited fro 15 days. Still he is not able to get the money or any correspondence from the AG office.

Upon contacting the dealing assistant (KK ray) he is saying you went to the DAG then you run before him to get this done. Why you are contacting us?

The DAG will solve your problem. Even they are not accepting any written complains against the concerned dealing assistant and officials. They told us to send the compliant in post.

My father is a retired class I officer. He has served the Orissa police for 37 years and worked the last 6 years in naxal affected area of Koraput.

He went to AG for 5 to 6 times in last month. He is an old man and not able to run to the Ag. Even they are not offering a chair to a senior citizen rather they are not hesitating harassing and misbehaving retired persons.

The Orissa Government is saying they have implemented the E governance to help the retired persons and smooth execution of the official documents.

But no one is responding to any of the mails. No action is taken against the culprits who are harassing the retired people. I have couple of mails I sent to the different Orissa government offices for which I didn't get a reply also.

So what can I do? I think the media is the only thing that will work out and the AG officials will take action against the concerned official once this will be published in the news paper. Please make an article in the news paper so that not only my father lots of retired employees will be benefited.

Thanks and Regards

Harassment by the Koraput Treasury for getting the GPF amount
