Kuwait April 21 (Odisha.in) Hundreds of Oriyas living in Kuwait celebrated Orissa formation day with pump and gaiety.
While the event was celebrated in Orissa on April 1 every year, people here celebrate the occasion particularly taking time out during holiday.
This year we celebrated the occasion in Kuwait on 18th April, one of the organisors told Odisha.in.
The event started with Saraswati Bandana performed by housewives and followed with several cultural programs by some talented Oriya performers.
The most attraction of the program was the traditional Daskathia staged by Tushar Das and Manindra Pratap.
On the occasion a souvenir was unveiled by president of Kuwait Oriya Association S. K. Senapati.
